Castles in a beautiful air of Bellinzona, canton Ticino, Switserland.

Pictures of conflicts and forces from the past.. in an almost open air museum in Bellinzona's surrounding bring you the castles and their fortified walls which belong to UNESCO's World Heritage Sites since 2000 and have been protected  the modern small city until today on August in 2013.. The Castlegrande that is the main fort and was built at the times of the reign of the Roman emperor Augustus was known as a key point in wars period and was also capable to holding 1000 soldiers. According to the history Bellinzona in Ticino was from the past the capital of a country that included most of the extremely valuable valleys in Ticino.
