Amsterdam a Global City with Global Art in 2013. Artzuid Internationale Sculptuurroute( Part two)

An open air-museum will be until 22 September 2013 the Global City of Amsterdam through its Global Art in Artzuid the southern district of the Dutch capital.
The temporary open air-museum includes a selection of of sculptures by 61 artists from 26 countries like Africa, Asia and South America but also from Europe and the United States.
The International  Sculptureroute Amsterdam 2013 which shows forms of contemporary installations that in many cases tailored to the location or adapted especially for that particular purpose is connecting the old part of Amsterdam with the Artzuid bussiness centre of the city.
The old historical Amsterdam transformed into a modern Global artistic city of 21 century and that is suitable and correct or with other words as the Mayor of Amsterdam Mr E.E van der Laan said '....Amsterdam is the city that cherishes freedom of expression with a wide range of cultural offerings..'

The American artist Chamberlain who was born in Indiana and grew up in Chicago studied at Art Institute of Chicago and Black Mountain College. He became famous in the 1960s by his abstract expressionist style of painting into three dimensions. He had moved to New York and his sculptures were created by scrap/metal auto parts.
By the end of 1960s he change his materials and worked with galvanizated steel, plexiglas and aluminium foil.
Chamberlain has artwork on the moon in the Moon Museum.

The Moon Museum is considered the first Space Art Object that was possible covertly attached to a leg at intrepid landing module and left on the moon dutring Apollo 12.

Marc Chagall's Calvary in The Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam

Marc Chagall's masterpiece 'Calvery',1912 is a depiction of his super reality, alogical, and  irrational imagination as Guillaume Apollinaire refer to him as a ' surrealist' and as Andre Breton call also him the 'Pope of Surrealism'.

Frans' Post 34 unknown drawings at The Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. The Netherlands.

Spectacular discovery of 17th century Golden Age the drawings by Frans Post(1612-1680) which are on display at The Rijksmuseum Amsterdam from 7 October 2016 to 8 January.
Under the title 'Frans Post.Animals in Brazil' the exhibition present 34 unrecognized for centuries artworks by Frans Post from Haarlem-The Netherlands-which were discovered in the Noord-Holland Archief, Haarlem,created by Frans Post in the years 1637-1644 when he worked in Brazil.
The first European artist who painted landscapes and therefore of South Africa but as we know now also animals in Brazil, Frans Post contemporary of Frans Hall traveled in 1636 to Dutch Brazil at the invitation of Johan Maurits van Nassau-Siegen.
