With the nick name " Bathtub" the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, The Netherlands after 8 years renovations and one of the finest collections of modern and postwar art in the world reopen on September the 23th 2012.
The Dutch Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam reopent with its first temporary exhibition " Beyond Imagination' which with other words is a tribute to the art that is made by 20 artists Dutch nationals and all who are active today in the Netherlands. The artists are consider in the ways which exist between reality and imagination, originality and role-playing, specifically in relation to developments in politics, finance and media.

Paul Schuitema, Dutch typographer, industrial designer( 1897- 1973) exhibited in the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam in 1931.Nowdays his posters are already showed at the museum's new shop before the  reopening.







                  The neighbouring Van Gogh Museum congratulated the Stedelijk Museum for the reopening!


The Dutch firm Benthem Crouwel has gaven a new modern appearance to the Stedelijk's Museum Amsterdam galleries and made an extension to Amsterdam's Museum plaza which includes also the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijks Museum Amsterdam.

     The Rijks Museum congratulated the Stedelijk Museum for the reopening after 8 years renovations.



The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam(Museum of the City Amsterdam) was founded  in 1874- in the Neo-Renaissance architecture- and its collections of contemporary art, modern art and design are famous throughout the world.
After eight years works which cost a lot of money the new Stedelijk highlights its collections which first began to collect in 1909 with artworks by Georges Braque, Marc Shagall, Wassily Kandinsky and Pablo  Picasso. At its designers include world famous artists such as Marcel Wanders , Ettore Sottsass and Studio Job.

Marc Chagall's Calvary in The Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam

Marc Chagall's masterpiece 'Calvery',1912 is a depiction of his super reality, alogical, and  irrational imagination as Guillaume Apollinaire refer to him as a ' surrealist' and as Andre Breton call also him the 'Pope of Surrealism'.

Frans' Post 34 unknown drawings at The Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. The Netherlands.

Spectacular discovery of 17th century Golden Age the drawings by Frans Post(1612-1680) which are on display at The Rijksmuseum Amsterdam from 7 October 2016 to 8 January.
Under the title 'Frans Post.Animals in Brazil' the exhibition present 34 unrecognized for centuries artworks by Frans Post from Haarlem-The Netherlands-which were discovered in the Noord-Holland Archief, Haarlem,created by Frans Post in the years 1637-1644 when he worked in Brazil.
The first European artist who painted landscapes and therefore of South Africa but as we know now also animals in Brazil, Frans Post contemporary of Frans Hall traveled in 1636 to Dutch Brazil at the invitation of Johan Maurits van Nassau-Siegen.
